AA & SSR Exam Details:

The Indian Navy is conducting AA & SSR exams by twice a year somewhere in the month of March & September. The application form is available on website the  in December and June. The applicant can fill the application form for a particular exam through online.

Selection Procedure:

To get selected in the Indian Navy, candidates should have passed three rounds such as a written test, physical tests, and medical test. It has no negative marking.

Written Test:

It consists of four sections English, Science, Mathematics and General Knowledge with a total of 100 questions (25 questions for each section). It has a total 1 hour time duration. All questions are objective (MCQ) type questions.

Physical Fitness Tests (PFT):

Once a candidate clears the written test, then he will qualify for the next round PFT (Physical Fitness Test).

Required criteria for PFT:

  • 1.6 Km run to be completed in 7 minutes
  • 20 squat ups
  • 10 Push-ups
Medical Examination Test:

A candidate will qualify for medical examination test after clearing both written and physical tests. Final medical examination will be done at INS Chilka

Required criteria for Medical Test (MT):

  • Height (min) : 157 cms
  • Chest expansion (min): 5 cms
